![]() Since 1997 he has published with John Wiley & Sons three books on early American history. The stories in EQMM were also published in Mystery Writers of America anthologies. Upon retirement he resumed a writing career that had begun in the 1960’s with short stories in Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine and Woodmen of the World. In that capacity he traveled widely in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, the former USSR, the Middle East, India, China, Japan, and Australia. In 1966 he joined the staff of The Metropolitan Museum of Art (1966-1993), first as Archivist of the Museum and for 22 years Chief Registrar in charge of worldwide art movements. After teaching high school history in Newark Valley, NY, he was an archivist at Cornell University (1960-64).
